April to August – the best time to go kitesurfing in Fuerteventura

In these months weather conditions are optimal and you are almost guaranteed to be able to kitesurf every day! It’s the perfect for beginners and advanced kitesurfers.

Temperatures will be warm and you can expect strong wind 60-90% of the time. If you want to avoid big crowds skip July and  August. If you don’t mind a lot of people you can expect to have the strongest winds and the warmest days in these months.

September to January – Low Kitesurfing Season in Fuerteventura

In low season wind speeds average  11 knots. However, this might be a bit misleading, since winds will be very variable and I had trips to Fuerteventura in November when I was only able to enjoy one good kitesurfing session in 14 days. However if you are able to book a spontaneous trip or want to go wave surfing on days without wind this might be the perfect time to profit from less crowded surfspots.
